Miaplaza 18 to 30-year old BIPOC Actress Job Description
Miacademy (see www.miacademy.co and also the Miacademy Learning Channel on YouTube) is looking for an 18 to 30-year old BIPOC actress who can get on the level of students ages 5 to 17 and make teaching videos fun and engaging.
The first part of the job is to be an actress in educational videos for K-12 graders in a variety of subjects. Scripts would already be written and doctored, but actresses would be encouraged to inject their own voice into the script as they see fit. The second part involves doing the voices for a variety of animated characters, in particular female characters of varying ages.
The actress will also need to be able to self-tape the videos (potentially in front of a green screen). However, no video editing skills are required, the footage would be edited by our internal team of video editors.
Can easily get on the level of kids of varying ages, to make learning fun, and engaging.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can handle constructive criticism.
Independent and self-motivated. Being remote, you will need to hold yourself accountable.
Proactive. You’ll make a habit of seeking out ways to make the content better.
Trust & integrity. You do what is right, don’t cut corners, and are open about your work.
Consistent availability of 20 hours per week.
Access to a green screen studio or teleprompter experience is a plus.
A suitable space for filming. A quiet, 9×9 ft or larger, space with an empty wall that can be decorated with props. (Props can be provided)
Lights for filming. (Can be provided)
Quality lapel mic. (Can be provided)
Teleprompter. (Can be provided)
Any camera that can shoot 4k, a modern phone camera is usually sufficient.
