Altarena Playhouse is holding auditions for The Quality of Life by Jane Anderson. Directed by Katina Psihos Letheule. Available roles are Jeanette, Neil, and Bill. The role of Dinah has been cast.
Audition Date: Saturday, March 26th, 12PM-3 PM and March 27th 7PM-10PM
Rehearsals begin approximately April 8
Tech Week: May 22- 26
Performances: May 27 – June 26 (Fri/Sat/Sun, plus Thurs, June 23)
Auditions will be held at the Altarena Playhouse, 1409 High Street, Alameda
Performers of all races, ethnicities, and genders are encouraged to audition. Non-AEA. Stipend provided.
Available roles:
Jeanette: (female-identifying late 40s-early 60s, any race/ethnicity) Rebellious, energetic, determined Berkeley free-spirit. Married to Neil.
Neil: (male-identifying late 40s-early 60s, any race/ethnicity) a brilliant and thoughtful man, who, though dying of cancer, still has his spirit intact and is madly in love with his wife, Jeanette.
Bill: (male-identifying, late 40s-60 years old, any race/ethnicity)
Husband to Dinah; a stoic, Midwestern farm-bred conservative Christian who works as a contractor by trade.
