Meet the director!
Joshua Scott has a Bachelors of Science in theatre from Dixie State University. He teaches Theater at Dixie High School and has for the past 5 years. He has worked in Southern Utah theatre for over 20 Years. Directing credits include The Full Monty at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, Sweeny Todd, Chicago and Addams Family at the Stage Door. Set Design Credits include: Miss Saigon at DSU and Stage Door, Legally Blonde, Sweeney Todd, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Odyssey, DeathTrap, Lt. of Inishmore, Spamalot, Boeing –Boeing, Exit the Body and Move Over Mrs. Markham. He has worked for the Coast resorts in Las Vegas as a lighting designer for headliners which include: Eddie Money, The Letterman, Don Ho, The Four Freshmen, Debbie Reynolds, and Ann Margret. Other lighting design
credits include Disney’s Mulan and Plaid Tidings for Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Into the Woods, Mikado, Trojan Women, (T)he Odyssey, Almost, Maine, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Macbeth. His performance work includes Igor in Young Frankenstein, Shrek in Shrek the Musical, Giles Corey in The Crucible, Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet St., many roles in A Tuna Christmas, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Norman in The Boys
Next Door, The Ghost of Hamlet’s father in Hamlet, John the Baptist/Judas in Godspell, Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet and Caliban in The Tempest. His favorite theatre experiences are working
with his beautiful wife, Jalee. Together they have six beautiful
children. Josh spent a lot of time directing and creating comedy shows here in Southern Utah. He is excited to be bringing comedy back to the summers here in St. George
