*CASTING NOTICE***
Hello everyone! I am reposting this casting notice after it has come to my attention that the email address I had previously provided was incorrect. After Covid-19-related delays, Boise-based independent short film titled, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life” is currently casting for speaking and non-speaking roles. Production will take place in and near downtown Boise on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. Most roles, with the exception of the male lead, should only require one day of shooting.
This is an independent, local production, and as such, its budget only allows compensation for the two lead roles. However, the production will provide food and craft services for all cast, and promises lots of fun in a respectful environment.
The project is a short drama about facing the loss of a loved one. There two main characters are supported by a handful of speaking and non-speaking roles. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with Boise’s film community and participate in a powerful story which we hope to show to a wide audience at festivals.

SPEAKING ROLES:
LEVI: Male, late 20s to early 30s. A graphic designer. Husband to Charlotte. Paid role.
CHARLOTTE: Female, late 20s to early 30s. Terminally ill with cancer. Wife to Levi. Note: due to the nature of the character, this may be an extremely demanding role. Paid role.
JACKASS: Male, 20s. A run-of-the-mill douchebag.
BUDDY: Male, 20’s. Jackass’s friend. Also a run-of-the-mill douchebag.
NON-SPEAKING ROLES:
OLD WOMAN: Female, 70s. The grandmotherly type.
REALTOR: Female, 30s to 50s. Well-groomed, professional appearance.
CLIENT: Male or Female, 30s to 50s. Well-groomed, professional appearance.
MIDDLE-AGED MAN: Male, 40s or 50s. Serious, hip for his age, maybe a little snooty.
YOUNG MOM 1: Female, 20s or 30s. A young mother, escaping her daily routine for a quick outing
YOUNG MOM 2: Female, 20s or 30s. As above, a companion to YOUNG MOM 1.
JOGGER: Female, 20s through 40s. Physically fit.
TEENAGE GIRL 1: Female, teen.
TEENAGE GIRL 2: Female, teen.
