Casting Call for “Ghost” Short Film!
(Casting Call will expire on October 2, 2021)
Students from re:imagine/ATL’s apprenticeship program EMERGE are casting for their short film “Ghost.”
USAGE: This film will be shown at the Emerge apprentices’ graduation from the program, as well as be submitted to film festivals and be posted on YouTube for the public to view.

Compensation: UNPAID, but IMDB credit, and footage for demo reel will be provided.
This project is NON-UNION.
Filming will take place on October 16th, 17th, and 23rd (October 23rd is being held for reshoots, pickups, or any additional filming, if all filming is not accomplished on October 16th and 17th) in Atlanta, Georgia. Those applying MUST be available for all three dates.
OUR COVID PROTOCOLS: The very small crew (4-5 people) will be wearing masks at all times. CAST will be required to wear their masks until the camera starts rolling, and will be required to put their masks back on in between takes and while rehearsing. All cast and crew will be required to take a Covid-19 test and provide a negative result dating NO EARLIER than 24 hours before the shoot, regardless of vaccination status. If your Covid-19 test requires you to pay, production will repay you when on set. Plenty of hand sanitizer will be available, and social distancing will be strictly enforced.

Character Breakdowns:
Riley Hayes (LEAD; Any Gender: to play 18-24 years old; Black/African American)
Riley is a young, talented photographer from Atlanta, Georgia. Their ambitious work ethic has culminated in submissions to showcases around the city. Unfortunately for them, Riley will soon find out that the path to being a “success” in the art world isn’t as simple as they thought.
Avery McDurmond (SUPPORTING; Any Gender; to play 18-24 years old; Any Ethnicity)
Avery is a charismatic, kind young person. They’ve lived with Riley for the past year, and has known them even longer. Avery’s joyful demeanor makes them the perfect friend for a down-on- their-luck artist. With Riley’s crisis of confidence underway, it’s more important than ever for Avery to aid their journey.
