CDC Theatre is happy to announce auditions for A CHORUS LINE! A CHORUS LINE is a celebration of those unsung heroes of the American Musical Theatre: the chorus dancers– those valiant, over dedicated, underpaid, highly trained performers who back up the star or stars and often make them look even more talented than they are. It is also a celebration of the American Musical. Performances are February 11th and 12th at 8pm, 18th and 19th at 8pm, 20th at 2pm, and 25th & 26th at 8pm. This production will be directed and choreographed by Michael Kidney, with musical direction by Bruce De La Cruz, and with producer Joe Leo.
Auditions will be held at CDC Theatre on Monday November 8th and Wednesday November 10th at 7pm. Everyone auditioning is asked to be ready to dance FIRST. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together. Ladies should wear character shoes and men should wear jazz shoes; dress comfortably. We ask that you prepare a 16 bar cut of a contemporary Broadway song. EVERYONE MUST DANCE.
ALL ROLES OPEN. CDC Theatre is committed to diversity and encourages non-traditional casting designed to promote a positive model of inclusion. As such, CDC Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities to audition.
Callbacks will be on Thursday November 11th (vocals) and Sunday November 14th (acting/dance) by invitation only.
Please note: proof of vaccination required for all auditioning.
We can’t wait to see you for this Singular Sensation at CDC Theatre!
