It’s 1942, and two of Hollywood’s biggest divas (Claudia McFadden and Athena Sinclair) have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel—assistants, luggage, and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance…that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 1930s and 40s.
MURPHY STEVENS – (To play 20s to early 30s) – Personal secretary of Athena and former fiancée of Francis (whom she believes has been sent to war); She has dreams of being a big star but settled for being secretary to a big star; Pretty, upbeat, efficient.
FRANCIS – (To play 20s to early 30s) – Murphy’s former fiancee who, after being discharged from the army due to an embarrassing injury, has become the bellhop for the Palm Beach Royale Hotel.

Finding a husband is hardly Elizabeth Bennet’s most urgent priority. But with four sisters, an overzealous match-making mother, and a string of unsuitable suitors, it’s difficult to escape the subject. When the independent-minded Elizabeth meets the handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, she is determined not to let her feelings triumph over her own good sense—but the truth turns out to be slipperier than it seems. In a society where subtle snubs and deceit proliferate, is it possible for Elizabeth and Darcy to look beyond his pride and her prejudice, and to make the best match of all?
MR. DARCY – (To play 25 – 30) Darcy is a very arrogant man of England’s upper crust. He is lord of Pemberley, an expensive estate located in the county of Derbyshire. He is fairly tall and handsome, but his demeanor is unfriendly, aloof, and unapproachable.
ELIZABETH BENNET – (To play 21 – 29) Elizabeth Bennet is the most intelligent and sensible of the five Bennet sisters. She is well read and quick-witted, with a tongue that occasionally proves too sharp for her own good. Her realization of Darcy’s essential goodness eventually triumphs over her initial prejudice against him. (Role to be double cast).
DENNY – (To play 18-25) Denny is an officer and was good friends with George Wickham.
SOLDIERS – Young men to play age range 18-25 (part of ensemble)
