OPEN CASTING CALL — WHITE NOISE — PORTLAND, ME
Seeking submissions for WHITE NOISE by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Bari Robinson. Executive produced by East Shore Arts (Dave Register, Artistic Director) and Mayo Street Arts (Ian Bannon, Executive Director) as part of the first annual Portland Theater Festival, a new three-show summer season of live, professional theater. Casting by Kendall Cooper.
First Rehearsal: July 11, 2022
Tech: August 1-3, 2022
First Performance: August 4, 2022
Last Performance: August 14, 2022
Salary: $1,000 stipend or “Special Appearance” AEA rate
Both AEA and non-union talent are encouraged to submit
Local hires preferred

Dawn (She, her)- White, 30s. Best friends with Misha and Ralph. A lawyer who is unsure about marrying Leo

Misha (She, her)- Black, 30s. Has her own radio show, and she’s good at it. Best friends with Dawn and Leo. In a relationship with Ralph

Ralph (He, Him)- White, 30s. A part time professor. Comes from some wealth. Best friends with Dawn and Leo. Looking for his place. He thinks he eventually finds it. He wants to help Leo. In a relationship with Misha.
