WHAT TO PREPARE
Please prepare the following materials as your audition package for Jasper in Deadland and/or Village Theatre Institute and Pathway to Institute Program. It is recommended you use a computer or laptop over a phone or tablet to complete the audition forms and submit your audition package.
Your audition package should contain the following:
Conflict Calendar (if you are auditioning for Jasper in Deadland ONLY)
After you have completed the forms, please create a singular video of you performing your slate (introduction), song, and monologue. Your video does not need to be super high quality and can be as simple as a smartphone video. Your slate should include:
The title of your monologue and who wrote it
The title of your song and what show it is from
Your audition video should also include:
A one-minute comedic monologue (please keep content appropriate)
60-90 seconds (approximately one verse and one chorus) of a song from musical theatre*
*NOTE: We understand that providing an audition accompanist may be a barrier. Singing with a live accompanist is preferred, but not mandatory. Singing to an accompaniment track (a track with no vocals) or a capella (without any kind of accompaniment) will be permitted.
Please label you files using the following format: “FirstName_LastName_FileType”.
All files should be placed in a folder labeled “FirstName_LastName_SummerAuditionPackage”. Your audition package should contain four files, and look like the following:
Once your audition package is complete, create a zip folder with your audition material included and submit it to KIDSTAGE. Click on the button below to submit your materials.
If you have any difficulty submitting materials or have any questions, please contact Aaron Alonso (KIDSTAGE Production Manager – Everett)
