CASTING: Latino and Hispanic Bilingual Actors Wanted for Lead Roles in Educational Short Film.
“Home Visit” follows a day in the life of Thomas and Maria Gonzalez, a married couple navigating a health crisis. This educational short film will be used by the TCU Interprofessional Research, Education and Practice to help teach healthcare students how to work as an interprofessional team to observe and address complex health issues.
A male actor, aged 50-80, is wanted to play the principal role of Thomas Gonzalez, a man experiencing a recent stroke and Parkinson’s disease. A Latino/Hispanic actor with English and Spanish fluency is wanted for this role. A female actor, aged 50-80, is wanted to play the principal role of Maria Gonzalez, Thomas’ wife who is navigating a transition to caretaker. A Latina/Hispanic actor with English and Spanish fluency is wanted for this role.
There is also a supporting role available for a female actor of any ethnicity, aged 25–50, to play a nurse conducting a home visit. This role does not need to be bilingual.
“Home Visit” will shoot over two days from August 14-15, 2021 in a single location in Fort Worth, Texas. There will be two virtual rehearsals pending actor availability the week prior. Each role will be paid $500 for the project. This is an educational, non-union project.
