Qassim is Ali Baba’s greedy younger brother around 10 years old.
Layla is Ali Baba’s younger sister and a precocious and very clever girl 6-year-old girl.
In the kingdom of Shahrayar, music, art, and science are as valuable as jewels. The sultan’s love of knowledge and learning inspires scholars from around the world to make the journey to his palace. Shahrayar used to let people in to use his Maktaba, but then he found out that his books were being stolen! Anyone who dared cross the threshold of his Maktaba would be banished for life! Until one night, Shahrazad, the wazir’s daughter, who has her own love for learning, breaks in to read the Maktaba’s many books. Unfortunately, she’s caught by Shahrayar but she’s clever. To delay her exile from the kingdom, she tells Shahrazad a different story each night and it seems to do the trick.
