Case Study Beer Casting
BEER brand seeks Real People talent for a Case Study video.
Location: Nationwide (virtual shoot)
Globally recognized BEER brand seeks Real People talent for a Case Study video.
*NON UNION / NON SAG ONLY and must be at least 25 years old to participate*
We’re looking for people to take part in a film about a Beer Time Machine.
•Virtual Zoom Test Day – 6/24 (no payment, for Main Talent only)
•Virtual Shoot – 6/25 or 6/26 ($100 for Main Talent, $50 for Extras)
$100 for those chosen as Main Talent, $50 for those chosen as Extras. Usage is Internet and Industrial only, in perpetuity.
All genders, races, but ages 25-46 only, please.
What we’ll need from you:
A self tape on the same phone, computer or camera that you use for Zoom calls. Please use the best quality one you have.
– Please set yourself up in a place that’s well lit, with a background that’s not too cluttered.
Please keep your video to under 3 minutes, and state the following on tape before acting out the Script:
-Age (must be 25 or older)
-Are you available June 24, 25 and 26 (you will only be needed for 1 or 2 of those days)?
-Please state that you are NOT SAG.
-Do you have access to a laptop on the shoot day?
1. Firstly please record yourself pretending to be on a Zoom call, listening to someone else talking. You don’t have to do much. Just be as natural as possible. The idea is that it’s a work call, so you would be behaving appropriately for work.
2. Secondly, and separately, please record yourself saying the following lines, looking straight at the lens of your camera. Say them in as relaxed and natural a way as possible, but making sure you speak clearly.
You: “I’ll kick off by saying we’re all thinking…these remote videos calls suck.
Science says extended video conferences make us work even harder to process non-verbal cues like facial expressions and body language of each participant. Leaving us exhausted.
This phenomenon is called Zoom fatigue.
So many meetings…
So little time for beer.
Which is why our beer did this. Presenting…”
(At this point you look down, as if looking at the person in the Zoom screen below yours. He’s not responding, so you start to whisper to prompt him, as if trying to get his attention).
After this, there’s an awkward pause, where you look confused that John is not responding to what you’re saying.
•We would ask for Main Talent to obtain a 6 pack of our brand’s beer prior to filming, and production will reimburse you for this expense.
•You will also need to sign a talent release prior to being filmed (to be sent and returned via email).
Thank you so much!
We look forward to seeing the tapes.
