The world premiere of SENECA AND THE SOUL OF NERO by local playwright

is slated for live performances with in-person audiences September 23 to October 2.

All pandemic safety protocols that are appropriate to the time will be followed in rehearsals and performances.
Actors of all races, ethnicities, and genders are encouraged to audition.
Actors will be paid a small stipend.
Auditions will be virtual and will include readings from the script. Digital copies of the script are available upon request.

We are looking to cast the following roles:
– AGRIPPINA: Empress of Rome, later mother of the emperor. Female-presenting, stage age late 30s and up, any race/ethnicity. The role includes intimacy (passionate kissing and touch, no undress) and violence.
– OCTAVIA: Step-daughter of Agrippina, step-sister and wife of Nero, later Empress of Rome. Female-presenting, stage age 20s-30s, any race/ethnicity. The role includes implied death by suicide.
– LUCAN: Nephew of Seneca, court poet of Rome. Male-presenting, stage age 30s-50s, any race/ethnicity.
Some roles may include doubling as guards, ambassadors, servants, etc.
