Short Synopsis: Having survived domestic violence in her marriage, Madhavi, an Indian divorcee with a young withdrawn daughter, Sonia, struggles to put the pieces of their lives back together.
Principal Roles:
Seema, South Asian woman, 40-45 years, Traditionalist, guarded, hardened on the outside yet struggles with her own demons and insecurities on the inside. Works 2 days
Hema, South Asian woman, 40 – 45 years, thoughtful and friendly, holds no grudges and doesn’t care about how the inner circle works. Works 3 days
Priya, South Asian woman, 30 – 35 years, slightly feisty, tends to put her foot in her mouth yet caring and ready to defend Madhavi when needed. Works 2 days
Sonia, South Asian girl, 11 -12 years, quiet and withdrawn but very smart. She probably had to grow up fast because of their situation. Works 2-3 days.
Father, South Asian man, 65 – 75 years, stoic, and matter of fact but who loves his family deeply. Works 1 day.
