We are looking for individuals who have a passion for storytelling and an ability to create compelling content from the stories that are being shared on college campuses across the country on
Dear World’s College Tour.
If you were born with a mic in one hand and a camera of some sort in the other, then this role is for you!
If you’re curious to learn a little bit more about our College Tour experience before diving in,
This is a contract role. We are looking for individuals who have flexibility and understanding that this job will have sporadic contract work opportunities with surges in certain types of year (ie. academic calendar).
For your first contracts, you will be paid $400/day. Each event runs 2-4 days.
If you are chosen to lead our College Tour this Fall, you will be required to go through our storyteller training and become certified in our Brain Tattoo Method. Are you available to go through our virtual training on these dates: July 27, 29, August 3, 5, 10, and 13. Training time will be compensated.
Qualities we look for in a Storyteller:
-An ability to engage diverse participants who come from all walks of life
-A natural public speaker
-Can easily engage audiences in both digital and live spaces
-A deep understanding of narrative building with storytelling as a craft
-A demonstrated skill set of adaptability, quick thinking, inclusivity, and empathy
-The ability to hold space for others during a large group discussion format
-Proven experience running a team of diverse talent in a large event setting.
-Experience working in client-facing roles; while on the ground, they will be expected to be networking with clients and furthering the relationship our headquarter team has established.
Tech savvy- A deep understanding of technology or technology background is not required. However, the ability to run a Zoom call fluidly or assist our Photographers on the ground with setup by following our photo and lighting guide is required.
Basically, all hands on deck is the type of way we roll as a team! You don’t have to be a professional in this area, but you definitely can’t be scared to help out when needed!
An eye for content. While you are running the event site, you will be capturing content like:
-“Behind The Scenes” content
-Tik Tok content
-And other content as needed from the DW team!
